So many times people get married and friends and family can’t be there. Wedding videography is the perfect way to include everyone in your special day no matter where they are.

With any of our wedding videography packages you and your family and friends will be able to sit back and recall that special day that changed your lives. Outer Banks Productions is here to capture the moment, the people, and the love that you share. Let us put these into a wonderful wedding archive for you to watch for years to come. This page will explain in words the various sections of your video.

About the Introduction

All of our introductions start with a beautiful montage of your wedding's highlights. Every video is different and is created to reflect the emotions and best moments of your wedding. Since we pride ourselves as custom artist-videographers, we mold only the best highlights and set them to music to create a Hollywood introduction that will introduce the sound and image story of your special day. We include footage from many different segments of the wedding and always keep it emotional, exciting and romantic. This section will usually be synchronized to one song. If you have any special requests you can let us know during our meeting.

About the Wedding Rehearsal Option

Either the highlights montage video or the rehearsal option is included in our most popular larger packages. You get to decide! The rehearsal option includes the highlights of the wedding rehearsal. Often this is a time of fun and laughter as everyone tries to understand exactly what they need to do. We present this in an exciting documentary style and may add music if it's appropriate. We will use the same wireless microphone system and shoot using the same professional techniques that we will use on you actual wedding day.

Getting Ready (Optional)

Many of our wedding videos will have "Getting Ready" footage of the bride and or groom making those last minute preparations before the ceremony. We generally use this footage as part of our introduction or video montage section to help tell the complete story. We will shoot this by request. It always requires some coordination to make everyone feel comfortable. We will set up a time to show up at your door when you are completely ready for us and shoot. We will capture several moments of the interaction of you and your assistant applying the final touches such as placing on makeup and or jewelry. We have no trouble quickly staging some of these scenes if the timeline is short or conflicts between the bride and groom. The bride will always get priority over the groom unless otherwise discussed.

Arrival of the Guests (Optional)

It is always wonderful to remember who was at your wedding. This section of the video introduces the ceremony in a way that focuses on your family and friends who have often traveled great distances to show their support for the both of you on your wedding day. It allows you to remember everyone who shared in your special day.

About the Highlights Montage Option

Either the rehearsal option or the highlights montage video is included in our larger packages. You get to decide! If choosing the highlights montage, you will have a creative, stunning show of the best highlights from your complete wedding day. The style is often a mix of music video with some documentary sections. We will often include live music and live vocals mixed in appropriately. This is a great way to show friends and family your wedding day who may not have time to sit through the entire video. This is often the most popular section of our videos because it is a complete collection of the best moments captured on film! Let us know if you have certain music you want for this section.

About the Wedding Ceremony

In all of our packages, this section is obviously the most important. We will capture the whole ceremony. If appropriate we will use smooth transitions between the ceremony and the crowd. We capture digital wireless audio from the groom, and the officiant so we always have clear, easy to hear audio of the most important words you and you partner will ever speak! We always strive to get those best close-ups of the rings and the tears. Beach weddings benefit from the beautiful ocean in the background but don't worry about wind or wave noise. Our wireless lavaliere microphone systems are facing your mouths and not the ocean or the wind. The result is audio that will stand out over any of the background noises. For those who wish to have more ocean sound, we can also use our shotgun microphone to capture the beautiful ambient sounds of the Atlantic ocean. The choice is yours.

About the Reception Section

Every reception is different but all have a pre-planned timeline of events. There are the traditional events such as the first dance, toast and cake cutting. This section will capture these moments and present them in a fun and exciting presentation. We always try to keep the action going and rarely (unless asked for) edit in long boring sections. We work along side with your DJ and photographer to indiscreetly capture the best moments. This is also the section that can contain any interviews if part of your package.

About the Photo Montage Option

The photo montage is a music slideshow of your best photos. This can be an addition to any of our wedding packages. We can produce this to show at your rehearsal dinner, reception or add to your wedding video. We generally ask for no more than 50 of your best photos either digitally or we can scan the originals. Since every couple is unique, each montage will be too. If desired, you can also supply us with a CD of your favorite music and let us know what song or songs we should use. Often we are asked to show the bride and groom growing up side by side and then present photos of them dating and sometimes proposing. The story is yours and so is the choice of photos and the order of which they are played. We ask everyone to lightly number the backs of each photo using your favorite technique. Some will use pencil, markers, stickers or Post-it notes. We ask that you do not ruin your photos in the process so please practice on a useless photo first. All photos and music will be returned with your final production.

About Interviews

Our Gold and Platinum packages both have allowances for interviews of family or friends. Most people do not enjoy being interviewed so we ask that arrangements be made in advance. We enjoy this process and always let people stay relaxed using our professional interview style. Sometimes we have a few comments or blessings spoken and sometimes there are amazing stories told. Either way we will use our best audio for the situation and will present a meaningful part of the ones who love you the most!

About Custom Packages

About Custom Romantic Story Videos Option

This option is separate from your wedding video and can be created using a Hollywood "docu-drama" style complete with photos, video and music. We will help you tell the romantic story of how you met and create your own little movie of your love story! Every story is different and so is the time that it will take to produce. This is a very customized video and will reflect the love and beauty you have for each other. We will produce this video at $99.00 per hour flat fee including camera, scripting, editing and mastering time. We will have no trouble designing a video that will meet any budget. Delivery time is separate from your wedding video.
